Fire Training Center

All lay rescuers, particularly those who are expected to respond to emergencies in the workplace. Includes security guards, police, construction employees, factory workers, and other laypersons. It is especially designed for lay rescuers who are required to obtain a course completion card-a credential-documenting completion of a CPR/AED and First Aid course.

The Heartsaver Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid course includes:

  • CPR (Adult, Child, and Infant)
  • Relief of Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (Adult, Child, and Infant)
  • Signs of Heart Attack, Cardiac Arrest, and Stroke
  • Use of the AED for Adult, Child, and Infant

The First Aid portion of the course includes:

  • Patient Assessment
  • Legal Aspects
  • Shock
  • Bleeding Control
  • Wound care
  • Head/Eye Injuries
  • Heat & cold emergencies
  • Medical emergencies
  • Fractures, sprains, and strains
  • Burns
  • Chest and abdominal injuries
